Navigating Unrealistic Standards in AI Staff Recruitment!!!

In my recent AI staff recruitment efforts, I've noticed a trend:
Many employers are setting the bar unrealistically high for AI positions.
Employers are looking for AI candidates who can "fly":
Master every AI framework under the sun
Solve complex problems with a snap of their fingers
Have years of experience in cutting-edge tech that's only just emerging
This overstatement of technical requirements often:
Narrows the candidate pool unnecessarily, missing out on talented individuals who might not tick every box but could be perfect for the role with the right support.
Creates unrealistic expectations for what one person can achieve, leading to potential disappointment or turnover when reality doesn't match the job description.
My Advice:
Focus on core competencies and the ability to learn and adapt rather than a checklist of every possible skill.
Consider how the role fits into the broader team structure; you're hiring for a team, not just an individual.
Let's discuss how we can better align job requirements with real-world capabilities.
