The Client is a regional Data Center Operator, dedicated to delivering reliable and high-performance infrastructure services to customers of all sizes in Hong Kong. The hiring manager is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to join their team in Hong Kong to ensure the optimal operation of our data center facilities.
Job Description: As the Facility Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of the Data Center’s physical infrastructure. You will ensure that all facility operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the data center’s physical infrastructure, including HVAC systems, power supply, cooling systems, and security.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all facility equipment.
Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for facility-related services and equipment maintenance.
Monitor and manage facility budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Plan and oversee facility upgrades, expansions, and modifications as needed.
Implement and maintain safety protocols and emergency response plans.
Collaborate with the Technical Operations team to support seamless data center operations.
Prepare and present reports on facility performance, maintenance activities, and budget status to senior management.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree qualification.
5-7 years of Managerial experience in a Large Data Center facility (Open to consider candidates who gained experience from a mixture of experience gained from ISP/Telcom/Cloud Vendor and Large End-Users with critical infrastructure installed in their own buildings).
Overall 12 to 15 years of working experience
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Experience with facility management software and tools.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
Proficiency in English and Cantonese
