The client is an active Cloud Data Center company with 4+ Data centers operating in Singapore. The company is dedicated to providing reliable and efficient data center services while maintaining a strong commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. The hiring manager (based in Singapore) is seeking a dedicated Energy Manager to join our team and help us achieve our energy management goals.

Job Description: As an Energy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the energy consumption of our data centers. You will develop and implement energy management strategies, conduct energy audits, and ensure compliance with energy efficiency regulations. This role requires a proactive approach and a strong technical background in energy management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement energy management strategies to optimize energy consumption and reduce costs.

  • Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement energy-saving measures.

  • Monitor and analyze energy usage data to track performance and identify trends.

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate energy-efficient practices into data center operations.

  • Ensure compliance with local energy efficiency regulations and standards.

  • Prepare and present energy reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Stay updated with the latest energy management technologies and industry best practices.

  • Provide training and support to staff on energy management practices and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

  • 8-10 years of experience in energy management, preferably in a large manufacturing facility (e.g. Data center, Automotive, Electronics manufacturing, etc).

  • Strong knowledge of energy management systems and tools, such as Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Software.

  • Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and certifications, such as ISO 50001 and LEED.

  • Experience with conducting energy audits and implementing energy-saving measures.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in English (written/spoken) (Not required to speak other Asian language)

Required Certifications:

  • Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) or equivalent certification.

  • Knowledge of relevant energy management certifications, such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
