Job Description:
Position Overview: The Assistant Energy & Sustainability Manager will support the development and implementation of energy management and sustainability initiatives across our large-scale manufacturing facility. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of energy management principles and sustainability practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and execution of energy management and sustainability strategies to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
Monitor and analyze energy usage data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Support the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma) to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate energy and sustainability initiatives into daily operations.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with energy and sustainability policies and regulations.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations on energy and sustainability performance for internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to support energy and sustainability projects.
Participate in the planning and execution of energy and sustainability training programs for employees.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in energy management and sustainability.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management, sustainability, or a related role.
Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certification is highly desirable.
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Familiarity with energy management software and tools.
Certification in energy management (e.g., Certified Energy Manager) is a plus.
